Most importantly, our attorneys are committed to the central ideals of the practice:  strong, intensive, and ethical representation in every case we handle. 

Kevin E. Jakab, Managing Attorney

Kevin Jakab is the firm’s founder and managing partner. He is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. He specializes in handling high exposure, complex civil cases involving significant damages and catastrophic loss. He has successfully tried such cases in federal and state court throughout the state of Florida. He is admitted in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida and all state courts. 

Mr. Jakab embraces difficult and thought provoking cases. He believes every case requires meticulous attention to detail; thorough analysis, and exhaustive effort on the part of the attorney and staff to reach successful resolution. Mr. Jakab is committed to strong, professional, and ethical representation of every client, in every case. Prior to forming Jakab Law, PLLC, Mr. Jakab was an equity partner at a well-established and highly respected civil trial firm in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mr. Jakab is a “Triple Gator”. He attended the University of Florida, where he graduated with honors after earning a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Education, and Juris Doctorate degree.

In 1997, Mr. Jakab attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. whereby he completed a Graduate Fellowship in the area of United States Constitutional History and Law. In 2000, he served as a Congressional Fellow in the United States Senate (106th Congress) where he served as special liaison to The United State Supreme Court and Judicial Committee in the Senate. He was also instrumental in crafting legislation involving: Education; The Everglades; and Campaign Financing.

Mr. Jakab is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell; 5-star rated by AVVO; and has been designated as a Florida "Super Lawyer" in the area of Civil Trial Law. In 2018, Mr. Jakab obtained the highest verdicts in the State of Florida in two separate categories (Unfair Trade Practices and Negligent Misrepresentation). He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Federal Bar. His primary practice areas include civil trial law; personal injury; wrongful death; medical and professional malpractice; education law; complex civil and commercial litigation; insurance law/bad faith; premises liability and dramshop.

Robin Hardeman, Nurse Paralegal

Robin Hardeman has been a nurse paralegal at the firm since 2017 and brings a vast range of experience from the hospital and clinical setting, the home health field, and even school health. Ms. Hardeman has considerable trial experience having served as "first-chair PL" in several high-exposure personal injury and commercial tort cases.

Ms. Hardeman graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2000, she began her career at the Mayo Clinic as an Oncology nurse. After three years of working in the hospital setting, she began working as a home health nurse and cared for a wide variety of patients with multiple complex health conditions. Robin also spent several years employed as a school nurse; educating and caring for students.

Ms. Hardeman is an invaluable resource of the firm, during every phase of litigation and trial. She is also closely connected with clients throughout the case, ensuring the firm has the most current status of our clients at all times.

Ms. Hardeman enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with her husband and their three children.

Bridget Jones, Nurse Paralegal

Bridget Jones has been a paralegal at the firm since 2011 and was an 18-year RN with extensive experience working in hospital settings.   Her experience in medicine as a nurse includes:  trauma ER, ICU, Medical/Surgical, Operating Room and Orthopedics—both locally and abroad as a traveling RN.

Ms. Jones completed her Paralegal Certification at the National Paralegal Institute and is an invaluable resource for the firm.    Ms. Jones also enjoys communicating in conversational ASL, and along with her husband, being involved with the deaf community in northeast  Florida.
